Disorganization was taking its toll on a busy company. Scraps littered the work area, creating a mishmash of materials and making it time-consuming for workers to locate key supplies. Solution
Catalyst assessed the current process starting with the shop floor. Areas were reorganized to help with work flow. Scraps were reused in the set-up process and two key pieces of new equipment were added to increase productivity.
Results
Not only did the company become more environmentally friendly by reducing waste, but they also saw impressive monetary returns. Scrap waste was reduced by 41% which added up to nearly $10,000 in annual savings. The two new piece of equipment Catalyst put into place produced an annual labor savings of more than $22,000.
