Order Entry Productivity in Action
Catalyst puts a new order entry process in place and creates various bottom-line improvements.
Challenge
As business expanded, the order process became bloated and non-effective. Order forms were convoluted, lengthy and messy. Walking distance to facilitate orders took too much time and there wasn't a direct line of communication between floor operations and data management. This created "feast or famine" issues within manufacturing and negatively impacted productivity.
Solution
Catalyst created a Value Stream Map to identify weaknesses and interviewed key players for feedback. Forms were carefully reviewed to safeguard key data while unneeded information was eliminated. Once all important components were analyzed, a new streamlined process was put into action.
